<p>Rich Hill is known as the &#8220;town that coal built&#8221; and is also known for being &#8220;Famous for the 4th&#8221; of July celebration.</p>
<p>Rich Hill is located an hour south of Kansas City, Missouri on highway 71 and 1 1/2 hours north of Joplin, Missouri.  Rich Hill has a population of approximately 1300.</p>
<p>Area attractions:  Four Rivers Conservation Area and the August A. Busch, Jr Memorial Wetlands.  Located 4 miles south of Rich Hill on Highway 71, take TT east. http://www.ducks.org/Missouri/MissouriProjects/1469/FourRiversConservationArea.html</p>
<p>The Big Mouth!  The Big Mouth resides on Park Ave and 7th St in Rich Hill.  The Big Mouth is a coal bucket that was used to mine coal in this area.  Visitors may stop by and take pictures and read about the history of the Big Mouth for free.</p>
