0975 – Result of Bond Election-Combined Waterworks & Sewerage System

ORDINANCE NO. 975 

AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE BOND ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF RICH HILL MISSOURI, ON APRIL 5, 1988, ON THE QUESTIONS WHETHER TO ISSUE THE COMBINED WATERWORKS AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS OF THE CITY OF RICH HILL, MISSOURI, IN THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $600,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF EXTENDING AND IMPROVING THE COMBINED WATERWORKS AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM OF THE CITY BY PURCHASING AND CONSTRUCTING A WATER TREATMENT FACILITY, THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON SAID REVENUE BONDS TO BE PAYBABLE SOLELY FROM THE REVENUES DERIVED BY SAID CITY FROM THE OPERATION OF ITS COMBINED WATERWORKS AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM, INCLUDING ALL FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS AND EXTENSIONS THERETO 

Be it ordained by the board of aldermen of the City of Rich Hill, Missouri, as follows:

Section 1.  It is hereby found and declared that the vote at the bond election held in the City of Rich Hill, Missouri, on April 5, 1988, on the question whether to issue the combined waterworks and sewerage system revenue bonds of the City in the principal amount of $600,000 for the purpose of extending and improving the combined waterworks and sewerage system of the City by purchasing and constructing a water treatment facility, the principal of and interest on said revenue bonds to be payable solely from the revenues derived by said City from the operation of its combined waterworks and sewerage system, including all future improvements and extensions thereto, resulted as follows:

                        Yes—238

                        No—-160

Section 2.  It is hereby found and declared that a majority of the qualified voters of the City voting on the question voted in favor of issuing said revenue bonds, and that the Board of Aldermen of said City is therefore vested with full power and authority to proceed with the issuance of said bonds.

Section 3.  It is further found and declared that notice of said election was duly given by publication in the manner provided by law and that said election was held and conducted in all respects in conformity with the constitution and laws of the State of Missouri.

Section 4.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
