AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE LICENSING OF DOOR-TO-DOOR SALES
An Ordinance establishing the licensing of door-to-door sales. Any person or corporation, domestic or foreign, or any agent, servant or employee of any person or corporation shall first obtain a license from the City of Rich Hill, Missouri prior to engaging in any door-to-door sales or sales promotion.
Any person, its agent, servant or employee of any corporation, domestic or foreign, may obtain a license to sell or promote sales door-to-door in the City of Rich Hill, Missouri upon posting a performance bond in the amount of $25.00 and the securing of a license to sell.
A license to sell in accordance with the following schedules:
One day—$5.00
One week–$25.00
One month—$100.00
90 days—$200.00
No person shall engage in the general operation of a yard, garage or porch sale or otherwise display to the public for sale at their residence items of personal property except farm produce for a period not to exceed two (2) days per month.
This ordinance shall not be construed to apply toward the sale of farm produce, which might be delivered door-to-door.
Any person guilty of violating this ordinance shall be charged with a misdemeanor.
