0737 – Parking Vehicles Relocated Hwy 71

ORDINANCE 737

AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLE UPON THE ROADWAYS AND RIGHT OF WAY OF RELOCATED STATE HIGHWAY71

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Rich Hill, Missouri, as follows:

Section 1.  That no vehicle shall be parked upon the roadways or within the right of way of that part of relocated Route 71, which is within the city limits.

Section 2.  Any person, firm, association or corporation guilty of violating this ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than $5.00 and not greater than $100.00.

Section 3.  This ordinance shall not apply to vehicles which have become disabled to the extent that they cannot be moved under their own power, except that the owner or operator of any such disabled vehicle shall not permit same to stand or be parked upon any roadway or upon the limits of the right of way of said highway for a period of more than 2 hours.

Section 4.  This ordinance shall not apply to emergency vehicles, which are being used in police work, fire protection, ambulance service, wrecker service, or maintenance work upon the highway.

Section 5.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances which are inconsistent with these ordinances are hereby repealed.

Section 6.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval. 

Read three times and passed this 25th day of February 1969.
